Who we are

Joeckel Design & Development ("we", "us", "joeckel.design") is a web and mobile development studio based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This policy explains what data we collect when you interact with us through joeckel.design, our email, or our SMS service, and how we use it.

What we collect

When you fill out the contact form on joeckel.design, we collect:

• Your name and business name
• Your email address
• Your phone number (optional)
• The message you send us
• Any additional details you provide in the follow-up form (address, social links, goals)

If you reply to one of our emails or text messages, we keep that correspondence. We don't run analytics that profile you across the web; we use Google Ads conversion tracking only to know that a form submission happened (no personally identifiable data is sent to Google).

Site visit analytics. When you browse joeckel.design we record basic, first-party usage data to understand our traffic: the pages you view, how long you stay, the site that referred you, your device/browser type, and your approximate location (city and region) derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location, and we do not use this data to identify you personally or track you across other websites. It is stored on our own servers and never sold.

How we use it

• To respond to your inquiry and build the website preview you requested
• To send you the preview link and follow-up messages about your project
• To deliver hosting, support, and billing if you become a client
• To send service updates (renewal reminders, downtime notices, plan changes)

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their own marketing.

SMS messages

If you provide a phone number on the contact form, you consent to receive SMS messages from joeckel.design related to your inquiry and any resulting engagement.

• Message frequency varies — typically fewer than 5 messages per month, more during an active project.
• Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
• Reply STOP to any message to opt out of all future SMS. Reply HELP for help, or contact us directly at kyle@joeckel.design.
• We use Twilio as our SMS provider. Your phone number and message content are processed by Twilio to deliver messages; see Twilio's privacy policy.
• Opt-out requests are honored within 24 hours and stored to prevent re-contact.

We do not share mobile opt-in data or phone numbers with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

Email messages

Outbound emails (preview previews, follow-ups, billing notices) are sent via Resend. Inbound emails to kyle@joeckel.design are handled by Namecheap Private Email. Every cold outreach email includes an unsubscribe link; clicking it stops further emails.

Where data is stored

Form submissions and message logs are stored in Microsoft Azure (US data centers). Site analytics (page views, no PII) are processed by Cloudflare and Google. Payments, if any, are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card number.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form submissions and message logs as long as it's useful for the relationship — typically up to 3 years from the last contact. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us; we'll remove your record within 30 days unless we're legally required to retain it (e.g., billing records).

Your rights

You can email kyle@joeckel.design to:

• Get a copy of the data we have about you
• Correct anything that's wrong
• Have your record deleted
• Opt out of all future email or SMS contact

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be announced on the homepage for at least 30 days before taking effect.
